Current Combination  is required to perform a combination change. Lost combination? A lost combination will require service and possible installation of a new electronic lock. La Gard LG Basic electronic locks operate off of an enclosed 9 volt alkaline battery. No response from the key pad is usually an indication of a depleted battery. Changing to a new battery will allow the key pad to function and will not erase the current memory stored in the lock.
